Prenatal and Pediatric Chiropractic
Dr. Heather and Dr. Angela are the only certified Webster Technique chiropractors in the Gibson and Madison county area. Webster Technique is a specific analysis and adjustment which allows chiropractors to reduce stress in the pelvis to allow for optimal fetal positioning. A 2002 study in the Journal of Manipulative Physiological Therapeutics found an 82% success rate of breech babies turning when chiropractors used the Webster technique.
Dr. Angela is certified with the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association and is the only ICPA certified chiropractor in the Gibson/Madison county area. She has undergone extensive training on adjusting and treating infants and children. Research has shown that chiropractic care is safe and effective form of conservative treatment for colic, acid reflux, and constipation in infants and children.
Dr. Angela is also trained to assess tongue and lip ties. These ties are when the tissue that holds the tongue and lip in place are too tight, causing pain and other symptoms. Symptoms include painful or poor latch, slow weight gain, reflux, gas, and fussiness. Chiropractic care is a great addition to the care they need before and after tie revisions.
